The IC-M423G is a new compact fixed VHF, which offers many advanced features (GPS, ASN, reducing noise, double and triple watch, AquaQuake™ feature for the ejection of water, seal front IPX7, channels, private, etc.). To meet all needs, it can also be used with an optional remote station (series HM-195). The IC-M423G is the ideal choice for the "open" boats and other ribs.

New intuitive user interface

Built-in GPS receiver
This innovative feature in addition to lower costs, simplifies installation and allows you to take advantage of the GPS feature without requiring additional airtime. This feature is particularly useful for Open boats, where the antenna will be visibility without hindrance of the GPS constellation. Of course this built-in GPS can be inhibited by the menu in favor of an existing antenna to connect through the NMEA0183 binding, where the radio is installed inside the boat for example.

Active noise reduction
A whole new digital processor reduces the background noise in the 2 directions of communication up to 90% (20 dB) to ensure a perfect connection under all circumstances (wind, engine noise, etc.).

Built-in DSC class D
For added security, the IC-M423G is equipped with two receivers which is dedicated to the channel 70 in order not to miss any DSC (digital selective calling). Sealing IPX7 and AquaQuake™. Designed to withstand the most extreme marine environments, the front of the IC-M423G is waterproof to sea water and rain standard IPX7 (1 m depth for 30 minutes). The AquaQuake™ feature allows the ejection of water by infrasound, to "dry" the microphone and speaker. Foghorn and bridge 10 W amplifier.

Associated with an optional megaphone, the IC-M423G allows to benefit from a Horn of automatic mist and a bridge of 10 W audio power amplifier.

River use (ATIS) and private channels
The IC-M423G can be used on inland waterways through ATIS built-in (programming). It is also possible to program channels private for use by professionals (ANFR permission).

Function RX
The "RX" function to switch the VHF reception on the bridge integrated amp and benefit through the loudspeaker of the hailer. This exclusive function "Icom" example allows a fisherman to continue to hear the radio very clearly when he works out of the wheelhouse.

Functions "position request" * and "position report"
The functions "position request" and "position report" allow to swap contact information between your boat and surrounding boats. Their position information can be sent to the navigation equipment installed accepting the NMEA0183 format (radars, plotters, etc.). The "Polling request" function checks the presence of a boat given (if it is in range). (* Requires compatible NMEA0183 navigational instruments).
